Student Angler Federation





The Student Angler Federation of Nebraska on September 3 held it's inaugural High
School Fishing Championship tournament on lake Maranatha in Lincoln County. The
event was a two man team event with the winning team advancing to the Regional
Tournament to be held in College Statation, Texas on October 15. The winners of that
tournament then advance to the National finals. The team of Adam Diehl and Drew Bailey,
from North Platte, were crowned Nebraska's High School Champions by bringing in a limit of fish that weighed in at 11.00 pounds. Coming in second was the team of Tel Pyzer and Jarett Siefford with 8.58 pounds, and in third place was the team of Trevor Lee and Jacob Zimbelman with 8.16 pounds. There were five teams that competed.
Tony Munter, of Nebraska Games and Parks, was the tournament director, and said
the boys " have formed a Student Angler Federation team called The Lincoln County BassBosses ".

Nebraska Boys Win SAF/TBF Divisional Title
Adam Diehl and Drew Bailey competed in the SAF Divisional Tournament on October 15, 2011
and took home the first place trophy in a competition that included teams from six other states
in the division.......Kansas, Louisianna, Arkansas,Texas, and Oklahoma. The boys will now
compete in the National tournament next spring.
Congratulations to Adam and Drew on an outstanding performance !!!!!!
