Welcome to The Bass Federation of Nebraska Website
We are an independent state organization that is affiliated with The Bass Federation, a national organization of member state federations. The Bass Federation ( TBF ) has
existed since 1972, and along with the independent state Federations, has worked
to support the grassroots growth of fishing and the growth of the entire sport fishing/
outdoors industry. The Bass Federation should not be confused with ESPN owned BASS
nor the BASS Federation Nation which wasn't formed until 2006. (Update: B.A.S.S. and the Federation Nation were once again sold to a private holding group in 2010.) The Bass
Federation (TBF) is the oldest affiliation of state organizations known as the " Federation".
The TBF of Nebraska was formed in 2007 as a result Nebraska's existing state organization's
election to sever it's ties with The Bass Federation and instead affiliate with the newly
forming Federation Nation. Some in Nebraska wanted to remain affiliated with TBF,
so The Bass Federation of Nebraska, TBF of Nebraska, was organized.
Since organizing, we have conducted state championship tournaments that have
led to state team participation in "Divisionals", and qualifiers for the " Federation
National Championship" where the award for the best angler is the "Living the Dream"
prize that includes the use of a fully wrapped Ranger boat and Chevy truck and
monies for participation in one of the FLW circuits. Our state tournament structure

Likewise, we have held Youth State Championships that have led to participation
of six of our youth members in the National Gurads Junior World Championships
where they compete with youth from across the country for scholorhsips and awards.
In 2009, our 15-18 age entrant placed third nationally and won a $2500 schlorship and
$100 Cabela's gift card. This was our second scholarship winner in just three years
of participation.
The TBF of Nebraska is an non-profit organization operating exclusively for the
enjoyment, promotion, preservation, and furthering of the sport of bass fishing with
emphasis on youth, conservation, and the hope and thrill of " landing that trophy bass".
We welcome dual memberships of clubs that belong to Nebraska's other bass fishing
organizations. Our objective is to promote the sport of bass fishing and the preservation
of the aquatic habitat.
